Die letzte Hochzeit, die wir vor der Geburt unserer Tochter fotografierten, war gleich doppelt schön. Einerseits wollten wir schon immer mal nach Norwegen, andererseits war es ein alter Bekannter von Timm, der uns da angefragt hatte. Und so kam es, dass wir Ende September voll schwanger (-er Vorfreude) im Flieger nach Oslo saßen. Gleich am Freitag Abend trafen wir das Paar und einige ihrer Freunde in einer netten Kneipe und machten auch Bekanntschaft mit Gingerbeer. Großartig! Die Norweger sind ja ein sehr stylisches Völkchen und so war das Getting Ready der Braut für Judith am nächsten Tag ein visueller Genuss! Der Gottesdienst, den eine Freundin der Braut hielt, war traditionell norwegisch und festlich. Danach liefen wir bei sonnigem Herbstwetter zum Paarshooting durch ein Viertel mit einem Bach und bunten Holzhäusern, was unserer Vorstellung von Norwegen schon sehr nahe kam. Die Feier fand in einem alten Gemeinschaftshaus statt und beinhaltete viele sehr persönliche und emotionale Reden der Eltern, Freunde, Trauzeugen. Aber auch ausgelassenes Tanzen kam nicht zu kurz! Ausklingen liessen wir das Wochenende am nächsten Tag in der Sonne auf dem begehbaren Dach der Osloer Oper am Hafen und im Hipsterviertel Grünerlokka, wo es viel zu gucken gab.
It turned out to be the last wedding we photographed before the arrival of our daughter and we were really looking forward to it for two reasons: First, we always wanted to see Norway and second, the groom was an old friend of Timm who married a norwegian girl. And so we sat in a plane from Berlin to Oslo in late September fully pregnant, not only with anticipation… On the first evening the couple invited their friends for a nice get-together in a local pub where we tasted our first gingerbeer. Phantastic! Since the Norwegians are a very stylish people, for Judith the bridal getting ready the next day was a visual blast. The wedding service was held by a female pastor, a friend of the bride and turned out to be traditional with liturgy and hymns. For the couple-shoot we strolled along a nice little creek amidst coloured wooden houses, closest to our imagination of Norway at its best. The celebration took place in an old community centre and contained many personal and emotional speeches from friends and relatives, but also the dancing later came out nothing short of ecstatic! A perfect ending of the weekend was the sunday with us soaking in the hipster neighbourhoud of Grunerlokka and hanging out on the opera`s rooftop on the waterfront.
