Natalia und Kolja in Berlin

Im Vorfeld der Keep-it-real-Fotografenkonferenz traf ich (Timm) mich nach über fünfzehn Jahren mit meinem alten Buddy Kolja, den ich aus meiner Zeit in Münster kenne. Jetzt lebt er schon lang in Berlin-Friedrichshain und ist eine Art Entrepreneur/Lebenskünstler/Model…und Punk.  Er hat schon viele lustige Sachen gemacht: In Münster hat er für Titus-Skateboards gearbeitet und diverse relativ lebensmüde Stunts aufgenommen. Man erinnert sich vielleicht, es war damals die Hoch-Zeit von Jackass… Mit einer Moped-Gang aus Berlin (Team Wolf) ist er nach Transsylvanien gefahren und hat es auf Video festgehalten. Nebenbei war er Model, u.a. für Adidas. Es war schön zu hören, dass es ihm gut geht und er sein Leben liebt. Mitgebracht zum Shooting hat er Natalia, ursprünglich aus Nord-Spanien. Das Velodrom  hat es mir mit seinem Ufo-artigen Aussehen angetan und das Abendlicht stand auch perfekt.  Manchmal fallen mir Liedtextzeilen oder Gedichte zu Fotos ein, hier passt wohl am Besten „Swing life away“ von Rise against:

On the eve of the Keep-it-real-photographers conference I (Timm) met up with my old buddy Kolja, whom I know from my time in Muenster. We have not met in over fifteen years and now he`s living in Berlin, being kind of an entrepreneur/artist/model…and punk! He has been into lots of funny stuff like recording sick skateboard stunts. Remember Jackass was huge at that time… With a gang of moped bikers he drove to Transsylvania and recorded it on video. He was a model for Adidas and others. It was great hearing he`s doing well and loves his life. With him for the shooting was Natalia, born in northern spain. As a shooting location the Velodrom was perfect with his UFO-like shape, as was the evening light.
